Till-to-ledger reconciliation

This screen proves the money story end to end: what the tills recorded meets what the ledger posted, account by account, day by day.

How to read it:

  • The comparison runs on movement for the period — the same convention your accountants close on — so closed months tie exactly, and the open month shows the timing difference that posting hasn't caught up with yet. An open-month gap isn't a break; it's the month being open.
  • Drill a day to the accounts behind it, and an account to the individual documents — down to the one document where the two records diverge.
  • Real exceptions (a document on one side only) are few and named — they go to the Exceptions Desk with everything else that needs a person.

This is the screen that turns "we think the tills and the books agree" into "they agree, and here's the day-by-day proof".
