# Working in more than one organisation
Most people belong to a single organisation and never need this. If you belong to more than one — for example you work for a partner firm and are also a user on a customer account — you can choose which one you are working in.
Where to find it
The organisation you are currently working in is shown in the top bar, to the left of your profile picture. Select it to see the others you belong to, and choose one.
If you belong to only one organisation and it is already selected, nothing is shown there. That is expected — there is nothing to choose between.
What changes when you switch
Everything. The organisation you are working in decides which figures you see, which reports and dashboards are available, and what you are allowed to do.
Because of that, switching takes you back to a home page rather than leaving you on the page you were reading. The page you were on belonged to the organisation you just left, and its numbers do not apply to the new one.
Why a screen said "Partner access required"
If you work for a partner firm and a partner screen tells you that you do not have access, the usual reason is that you are currently working in a customer organisation rather than your partner firm. Switch to your partner firm in the top bar, and the portal will open.
The reverse is also true: while you are working in your partner firm, customer reports and dashboards are not available. You are one or the other at any moment, never both at the same time. This is deliberate — it keeps each customer's figures separate from every other.
If you cannot see the switcher and something is missing
If a screen says you do not have access and you cannot see an organisation control in the top bar, ask whoever administers your account to confirm you have been added to the right organisation. Being invited to an organisation and being signed in are two different things, and an invitation that has not been accepted will not appear.
